William “Bill” K. Bundy, Jr., 89, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Indianapolis surrounded bythe love of his family and close friends.

Bill was born on November 17, 1929 in Bedford, IN. He attended Bloomington High School
where he graduated in 1948. At the age of 12, Bill began working as a golf caddy in
Bloomington, IN. He quickly fell in love with the game and became an avid and accomplished
golfer. Bill also had a passion for flying and earned his pilot license when he was 17 years old.
His first plane was a Cessna 172 which was hangared at Brookside Airport. Bill was a
passionate businessman and entrepreneur, taking pride in his career as a grocer. After retiring from Kroger with 29 years of service as Zone Manager, Bill went on to pursue his own grocery business in Fortville, IN, Bundy’s Finer Foods. Many current and past residents of the town of Fortville still hold fond memories of Bundy’s Ice Cream Store that was operated by Bill and his wife. Bill had many hobbies over the years including collecting and restoring 1968 Chrysler Imperials, traveling cross country with his wife in their motorhome, photography, and telling/writing stories of his adventures and travels.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William K. Bundy Sr. and his mother Lucille (Chestnut) Van Dyke, his sister, Jackie Greene, and his son, William Bundy III (Billy). Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Marietta, his daughter Marybeth (Dean) Sears, and his son Michael (Kim) Bundy; his 5 grandchildren Eric (Jessica) Sears, Brett (Josh) Daw, Chase, Zane and Megan Bundy; and 5 great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews, other family, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sunnyside Road Baptist Church, 6102 Sunnyside Rd.,
Indianapolis, IN 46236 , July 20, 2019 with visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Service following at 4:00 p.m.

    We miss you Bill Bundy! Thank you for your friendship the past 51 years. Aside from our visits in Florida, airplane rides, many “day trips” and traveling together several different places, ate many meals together, visited on the porch and shared interests in our Chrysler’s. Our friendship will always be among “great memories”.
